STUDENT PROGRAMS

The student council speaks on behalf of the students concerning their ideas and concerns with the staff and administrators. They assist in raising funds for the school and plan other activities throughout the school year. The student council meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.  

Lego Club provides students the opportunity to work as a team to expand the horizon through the building. Students will complete building tasks and challenging designs that will stretch their creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

OELA Spoken Word Team is a group of students who express themselves through poetry. Challenging themselves with a variety of poetry and working as a team to bring forth a positive message.

Science Club is open to all students and allowed to explore science through this school year. Students will be able to participate in monthly activities and science projects. The Science Club is open to grades 3rd - high school based on their teacher’s approval.

Journalism Club is responsible for publishing the monthly school newsletter. Students will meet once a week to learn about the journalism process's fundamentals, from planning articles to writing stories. The Journalism Club is open to students from 5th grade - High School.

To instill and develop students to learn respect, teamwork, confidence, and a spirit of excellence in one's self. The students will participate in events throughout the school year while building self-esteem and positive leaders for the future.
